DigiTimes has reported that Android 3.0 tablets could arrive as early as as December. The models arrive will just be samples in preparation for launch at CES 2011 that goes ahead early in January.
As well as mentioning that tablets running Android 3.0 Gingerbread will arrive, DigiTimes also reveals that tablets from Acer, ASUS and MSI will all appear on the show floor.
Moving on to the next version of Android after that, we understand that sometime in 2011 (3rd quarter) we could see the next version which is Android 4.0 or Ice Cream. The Honeycomb update is suggested as an interim update between 3.0 and 4.0.
One problem pointed out at SlashGear shows that Windows Tablets might not actually do that well due to the costs of licenses with details indicating that the costs of the OS could be 5 to 6 times that of an Android based device.
