Quancast has published new data that shows Android Mobile traffic from the browser is catching up with Apple iOS devices.
The share of Android mobile web traffic in the US climbed to 25% last month. This jump represents the largest gain since November of last year.
In total the Android OS mobile web traffic gain was an extra 2% while the other mobile traffic numbers tracked for Apple, RIM and the “other” category saw a slight decline.
In previous versions of the data the Apple iPad traffic was not counted although there is no mention of if it is or is not in the current graph. We suspect it is not.
It will certainly be interesting to see where things are in a years time and especially interesting if tablets are also included in the results.
