Apple Back to the Mac Event on October 20

Apple [AAPL] has posted details of an event it is holding on October 20. The event is called ‘Back to the Mac’. The image provided with the invite shows a Lion in the background of the Apple logo.

Rumors are indicating that Mac OS X 10.7 could be launched at this event with the codename of Lion.

9to5Mac indicate the Lion is hiding behind a touchpad which could indicate that Max OS X 10.7 is going to be more touch orientated, perhaps in new iterations of hardware that will arrive at a later date. We won’t know for sure till October 20th… so check back then and we’ll have all the details.
