The Apple TV is beginning to ship according to a number of people who emailed Mac Rumors.
Yesterday, shipping information was changed to “Preparing for Shipment” and then shortly after that to “Shipped”. Indications reveal that the Apple TV for US customers will be arriving from Shenzhen China via Fedex. It is unclear at the moment if other countries will receive the new device from Shenzhen or from another location.
Last week, Apple [AAPL] refunded some shipping charges due to possible commitments not being met. However, it seems that all is still on track for a late September delivery for those who got their orders in first.
We’ll keep an eye out and let you know when shipments start to arrive. Have you pre-ordered and received notification yet?
the Apple TV is so simplistic.Apple TV is not a real platform, neither own the application store, has not been applied. Therefore, even if the users can download movies from Netflix, they can not use Vimeo; can see the pictures on Flickr, but can not see on Facebook or SmugMug;can play HD mp4. videos , can not play any other kinds of videos so that i must rely on Aneesoft video converter. can get 99 cents of Fox and ABC shows video, but can not see Comedey Central, Hulu or Fancast program. In short, no Facebook, no Twitter, no sports scores, no weather, no stock figures, no news, and video games.
