BlackBerry Tablet Announced as the PlayBook

RIM has announced the BlackBerry Tablet. Its real name is the PlayBook and all the details have been announced along with pictures of the device.

Technical spec wise, the PlayBook will run a Cortex A9 running at 1GHz. The CPU is dual-core. It will have 1GB of RAM. The screen measures 7 inches.

The operating system running on the PlayBook is QNX as expected. As for launch dates, it is expected in the US in the first quarter of 2011 and internationally it will arrive sometime in Q2. Prices have not yet been revealed.
