The Camangi WebStation is another Android OS based device in the form of a tablet. The WebStation will be launched next month for a price of $399. Camangi do mention on their site that there is an early bird price for the first 100 buyers of the Android Tablet although it’s not clear if $399 is the early bird price or full price.
The device has a 7 inch touchscreen and is capable of running for 5 hours on a single charge. For connectivity it has wi-fi. Other features include GPS for navigation, a microSD card reader to expand memory and the ability to check email from services such as GMail.
The unit is powered by Android 1.5 which unfortunately means it wont be capable of running the latest Google Maps Navigation that was just announced for users of Android 1.6 and above. Hopefully an OS upgrade will be available soon for the device.
If you don’t mind not having Google Maps Navigation then the WebStation looks to be a decent Android based device. Pre-Orders for the WebStation can be made over here.
