Scientists at the University of Warwick here in the UK have created a new car based on Formula 3 specs which is built from biodegradable materials. As well as being biodegradable it also is powered by chocolate.
The car could be seen as very unique in that the steering wheel, seat and car body are made from various vegatables, fibres, carrots, flax and various other bits and bobs that can waste away safely. Fuel for the engine is provided by a mixture of vegetable oil and chocolate waste.
Here is the interesting stuff though… the chocomobile (remember what it’s powered by) is capable of a top speed of 145MPH. The WorldFirst Formula 3 Race Car as it’s officially called will be touring around race tracks soon and is well worth checking out if you happen to be at these events.
