The Dell Adamo XPS is a wafer-thin laptop that will be launched in time for Christmas. When launched the ultra thin laptop will cost $1799.
The Adamo XPS measures just 0.4 inches thin. A couple of other striking features include a latch that you swipe your finger across to open the laptop up along with a unique hinge which raises the keyboard at the back slightly when the Adamo XPS is opened up.
Spec wise it has a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CULV processor along with GS45 integrated graphics and a healthy 4GB of DDR3 memory. The screen is LED backlit and measures 13.4 inches and is capable of a HD resolution at 720p.
Connectivity see’s the laptop connect over wifi at 802.11a/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 is also included. Two USB ports can be found on the Dell Adamo XPS. Battery life see’s the laptop run for a puny 2 hours 36 minutes on a single charge although an optional battery rated at 40WHr sees that time increased to 5 hours 17 minutes (I guess screen dropped to lowest settings and wifi off).
It is currently unclear when the Dell Adamo XPS will be launched with suggestions it could be later this month, but more than likely early next month in time for Christmas. At a price of $1,799 it’s quite a high price to pay, but if you want the thinnest laptop on the block then go ahead and get one as they do look rather good although I’d have to test the keyboard out first as the hinge looks quite awkward.
