Four other Dell smartphones were unveiled this morning which included three Dell Android handsets and a Dell Windows Phone 7 handset.
The next (and final we believe) is the Dell Aero. The Dell Aero has a launch date of Q2 this year making the launch anytime within the next 2 months.
The technical specs reveal that it will run a 624MHz Marvell processor and have a 3.5 inch capacitive multitouch screen. The device also has handwriting recognition and a capacitive stylus will be included allowing you to scribble on the screen.
Dell will be shipping QuickOffice with the device. Support for Microsoft ActiveSync and Exchange is also included allowing you to connect with the corporate mail server. The downside of that is that it looks like it will run Android 1.5 which indicates Exchange support might not be the greatest with only email being supported. This has yet to be confirmed though.
On-device photo editing is included as well as notifications from social networks in an aggregated feed. Back to Android 1.5, the documents also reveal that an update to Android 2.1 will be in the works around Q3 or Q4. It is unclear if this will be OTA or if it will need to be installed via a desktop computer.
It’s not as fancy as the 4 other phones we mentioned earlier today, but it’s not too bad either. [Engadget]
