Last Thursday Gadget Venue was invited down to the Silverstone race track to meet up with Dell and the Sauber/BMW Formula 1 racing team. The product being launched is the new Dell Studio Laptop range of computers. This new range of laptop is available now and comes in a variety of colours which include black, graphite grey (pictured above), green, pink, and several other colours (pictured below). As for the specification, I have to admit that the features of the studio laptop are quite impressive.
The specification and design of the laptop was created by combining Dell’s innovative technology with consumer feedback collected via the dell.com website, Ideastorm and their community forums. The general feedback received was that the consumer wanted “personalisation, connectivity and simplicity. Your ability to choose from a plethora of colours, edge trim colours, programs, optional blu-ray disc as well as more RAM and processor power if needed really does add that personal touch. One of the outstanding features of the Studio laptop is the inbuilt mobile broadband connection (available in July) which truly offers the ultimate portability and connectivity as demanded by the market consumer. It’s sleek design is complimented by the backlit keyboard, slot loading drive and built in webcam. All these features means there is no fuss in adding additional components and the contemporary sleek design is undisturbed.
Pricing for the laptop starts at £379 for the Studio 15 and £469 for the Studio 17. These prices include VAT and delivery. This puts the Dell Studio into a very competitive position and given your ability to personalise the specification to your needs, it may even have the edge. One thing is for sure, you wont have a standard black laptop like most.
An interesting decision by Dell has meant that Dell products are now available from other market leading stores in the UK, including Tesco. By having the ability to see the product before you buy, you can be even more convinced by the product itself rather then the written page and a telephone call like in past times which was the only way Dell used to operate.

Amazingly nice colors in Dell, I am fed up using the same color. All its features are too good, I specially like its wide screen.
