The EVO 4G Android 2.2 update is now rolling out as of today (as previously promised a few days ago).
The update brings the usual Android 2.2 upgrades to the smartphone including the speedier interface along with a bunch of other features.
If you haven’t received a notification of the download yet, you can manually check for new updates through the settings menu at which point you will be presented with the option to download and install the new update.
If you upgraded to the early Android 2.2 leaked image found last week, HTC are pushing out a fix that will get you back in to the OTA update loop. What this means is that until the fix has arrived, you’ll be stuck using the current 2.2 you have instead of the final version. This should be sorted by the end of the week though.
Let us know if you managed to get the update successfully and if the user experience on the phone as well as new features has impressed you.
