Gigabyte are launching a new Booktop called the M1305 that comes with a desktop docking station to give the graphics a little extra kick.
The new Booktop has a 13.3 inch screen that can display a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels and has an Intel CULV processor inside. The dock features an NVIDIA GeForce GT220 GPU with 1GB of DDR3 memory that allows the Booktop to get a boost when docked.
Inside you’ll find 4GB of memory as well as a storage capacity of up to 500GB depending on the option you choose. An optical drive can also be found in the unit.
Connectivity sees the laptop make full use of Wireless with 802.11b/g and n being supported along with Bluetooth 2.1 EDR and a gigabit Ethernet port if you prefer the wired route. Other features packed in to the Gigabyte Booklet include a fingerprint reader, a 1.3 megapixel camera, VGA, audio, memory card reader, HDMI and USB ports along with a combo eSATA/USB port.
The docking station further expands usage and provides 6 USB 2.0 ports along with extending the VGA, HDMI and DVI outputs and also has the NVIDIA graphics card built in to provide extra kick.
A 6 cell battery is included with the Booktop that is rated at 3,800mAh and provides up to 6.5 hours of usage on a single charge. If 6.5 hours (best case) isn’t enough then the optical drive is removable allowing the Booktop to be powered for up to 10.5 hours in total on both batteries.
No pricing or availability information is known for the Gigabyte Booktop M1305 at the moment although from the video over on SlashGear it seems to be not too far away.
