Google [GOOG] has enhanced Google Docs to be even more compatible with the iPad. Just a couple of weeks ago, Google made it possible to edit more with the iPad in the browser, but users were still restricted mostly to the mobile version of Google Docs.
These even later changes now make it possible to use the full desktop version on the iPad and benefit from all the features.
Of course, mobile and even tablet browsers are still not as powerful as their desktop counterparts, which is why we recently launched the mobile-optimized version of the Google documents editor for the iPad.
But we figured for one-off times when you need to make an advanced change, that Desktop link might be just what you’re looking for.
When logging in to Google Docs on the iPad, you’ll have the option now of switching between mobile and desktop with each of them being a fully working option.
