Update: It looks like it isn’t a qualcomm 1.5GHz dual core CPU in this device as Engadget just mentioned that the 1.5 chips wont be out till next year.
HTC will be launching the HD7 in September over in Australia if rumours are to be believed. The HTC HD7 could be called the HD3 although recent indications point to the HD7 name to match Windows Phone 7, the OS it will run.
The device it’s self is believed to have a 4.5 inch AMOLED screen that can display 1200 x 800 pixels. As well as a high resolution screen it is expected to have a 1.5Ghz dual core processor as well as 1GB of RAM built in.
For storage the HD7 is expected to have 32GB and for connectivity, WiFi and 4G as well as Bluetooth. On the back is an 8 megapixel camera with two LED flashes.
We are not sure how valid these claims are as there doesn’t appear to be anything too official about it at the moment other than a release date of September 15. As for the 1.5GHz dual core processor, we are not even sure they are quite ready yet. As for 4G, that is a possibility in Australia.
If all the details are correct, it’s going to be quite a powerful device and one that will do well for both HTC and Microsoft [MSFT].
