Droid Life managed to get hold of a users manual for the HTC Merge/Lexikon smartphone device.
The userguide indicated that the new (name unconfirmed) smarphone will run Android 2.2 when it launches. It will have the latest Google Android OS installed (2.2 Froyo) and will have a slide-out QWERTY keyboard for text input, as seen in the image above.
Rather than using the regular Google integration of Android, this device will have a heavy integration of Bing. The phone is headed to Verizon [VZ] which explains why Bing is heavily integrated.
The phone is not part of the DROID line up of devices though and is not the next generation DROID as some expected it to be.
With the user manual out and about now, we expect to hear more official details soon, including an official name for the device.
