The iPhone DevTeam yesterday launched a new unlock for iOS 3.1.3 that allows any iPhone running the now older OS to unlock the phone.
As well as releasing an unlock for the older 3.1.3 iOS, the team also launched the iOS 4 Jailbreak. The Jailbreak is only compatible on iPod Touch second gen and the iPhone 3G (not the 3GS just yet). We are expecting that the 3GS will be jailbroke soon though.
As with all iOS jailbreaks in the past, Redsn0w makes it simple in that you tether your phone, load up a program and the jailbreak is applied.
redsn0w beta has been updated to hacktivate iOS 4.0 for iPhone3G (in addition to jailbreaking the iPhone3G and iPod Touch 2G). The download links for redsn0w 0.9.5b5-3 are:
Redsn0w works on Max OSx (x86) and also on Windows based PC’s.
