The iPhoneIslam team has recently uploaded a video to Youtube that shows an iPad 3G making voice calls, sending text messages and using FaceTime.
The software hasn’t been launched yet although the team say that it’s coming very soon.
When it gets launched, you’ll need to jailbreak your iPad 3G and download the app via Cydia. Once installed, you’ll be able to make/receive calls as well as send and receive text messages. One thing you’ll need to remember is that the microSIM you have installed now might not be on the right type of plan to make and receive calls. This means you might need to use another microSIM or cut-down regular SIM with the appropriate voice, text and data services available.
Expect it to be launched soon!
