Apple [AAPL] has provided another way to grab the iPhone 4 on launch day in the US. As well as being able to pick up the smartphone at Apple stores and AT&T [T] stores, you will also be able to pick up the device from Wal-Mart.
Wal-Mart has sold iPhones in the past which includes the 3G and 3GS, but this is the first time they have been allowed to sell the iPhone 4 on launch day.
Rumours are also saying that Best Buy will also carry the iPhone 4 on launch day in the US. Finally, Radio Shack employees have started telling customers that the company will also carry the phone on launch day.
It seems like Apple is perhaps easing the load on the Apple store that’s typical of a large event such as the iPhone launch.
Finally, Wal-Mart will not be allowing pre-orders of the iPhone 4.

I just called my local super walmart and the electronics gal told me that they will be selling the iphone 4 starting at 8:30am because they can’t actually log in to their computer systems until 9am to access phone plans etc.
I called my walmart they said it wont be sold before 8 am and the one i called said they recieved ONE iphone for the launch and he gave me this evil laugh. he said hes anxious to see the line of people for 1 phone. bastard lol
