Borders has announced the new Kobo Wireless eReader. When it launches on the first day of November, it will cost $140.
New features include wireless access that now lets you download and purchase books when you are connected to the internet.
Borders has a library of over 1.5 million eBooks making it a very good choice when wanting to find something to read.
A new casing design is included in this update. The unit now measures 4.7 x 7.2 x 0.4 inches and weighs just under 8 oz.
The screen on the Kobo Wireless measures 6 inches and it uses E-Ink to give excellent contrast and readability whilst outside. As for battery life, the Kobo is good for about 8,000 page turns between charges.
For storage it has internal memory that can be boosted by using micro SD cards up to 4GB in capacity. It’s certainly an alternative to look out for when compared to the Kindle.
