LG have announced their new series of Notebooks called WIDEBOOK. Each of the five models have a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio that is high definition and backlit by LED. Also, each of the notebooks are powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processors.
The LG WIDEBOOK range includes the R580/R560, R480/R460 and the R380 models and they have been designed by LG to contain powerful PC functions while looking stylish and being portable at the same time.
The LG WIDEBOOK’s come in a number of screen sizes with the R580 and R560 having a 15.6″ screen while the R480 and R460 have a smaller 14″ screen and finally the R380 has a 13.3″ screen.
The HD resolution sees the larger notebooks having a 1600 x 900 resolution while the smaller models have a 1368 x 768 resolution. The LED backlight helps to save 15% – 20% power too which is always handy on a laptop.
Intel Core 2 Duo Processors are standard on each model and each model also comes with either 2GB or 4GB of RAM as well as a decent NVIDIA GeForce graphics chip that supports 1GB of DDR2 video memory (dependent on model).
Connectivity on the WIDEBOOK range is also excellent as they have a 3G modem chipset built in allowing access to the internet wherever you find a 3G signal. Also the chipset allows it to connect over GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTP and HSDPA networks.
