Nokia has announced the Nokia E7 QWERTY slider smartphone today at Nokia World. The new E7 joins a total of three new releases today which also includes the Nokia C7 and the C6. We’ll get on to those in a later post.
The Nokia E7 is described as being the ultimate business smartphone. Features included in the E7 include Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync on board which allows users to connect live up to corporate email servers to download email, contacts as well as calendar appointments.
The large screen measures 4 inches and is touchscreen. The screen uses what Nokia call ClearBlack technology to help with outdoor visibility.
The operating system on the device allows users to work on documents, review spreadsheets as well as read/edit slides. With the Nokia E7 being designed for business users, a security solution is also available for the device.
The operating system running on the E7 is the new Symbian^3 that aims to be more friendly, faster and all around better than previous versions.
When it launches it will cost 495 before tax and subsidies. Shipping dates are estimated to be the end of this year.
