Engadget managed to get hold of a Palm Pixi to take a look at. Originally it was called the Pixie and then the Eos a few months back… now it is known as the Pixi and is headed to Sprint.
The handset is a very small webOS based handset with 8GB of storage, a full QWERTY keyboard and a 2 megapixel camera with flash. The screen measures 2.63 inches and has a 320 x 400 resolution and the touchscreen is capacitive.
So that you can customise your phone a little, Palm are offering five designed back covers from the Palm Pixi Artist Series for you to choose from (similar to how Dell has their designs). The back covers are all compatible with Touchstone so wireless charging can still be done.
No official launch data has been revealed although it is expected to arrive ready for the holiday season. Check out Engadget for the full hands-on and first impressions.
