PeeWee has launched the PeeWee Power 2.0 laptop that is specifically designed for children.
Each of the PeeWee models has been designed to be used by children at home and at school. The PeeWee 2.0 is a basic model that is essentially a netbook that has been made more rugged so it can take a bit of a beating from time to time.
Technical specs on the PeeWee Power 2.0 show that it runs an Intel Atom N270 processor which runs at 1.6 GHz. The Intel 945GSE chipset it used. For storage it has a 30GB PATA hard drive and also has a 2 in 1 SD/MMC card slot for connecting up a memory card from a digital camera.
It has 1GB of RAM inside and can take up to 2GB if required. The screen measures 8.9 inches. The battery on the PeeWee 2.0 lasts around 4 hours per charge.
With the Power 2.0 being rugged, it can handle drops of up to 50cm as well as having water spilled on the keyboard.
