On Monday, the Samsung Omnia 7 Windows Phone 7 smartphone was announced. We now hear that three networks in the UK will be offering the device. The three networks are Orange, T-Mobile and Three who will each start selling the new WP7 device on October 21.
Orange has already provided pricing details with the handset being free on a 24 month contract of £40/month. Three and T-Mobile will also offer the smartphone for free, but for £35/month on a 24 month contract. If you don’t want to pay as much per month, you can opt to pay more up front for the Omnia 7 and pay a little less each month. Just make sure you get the right amount of minutes and data that you need.
The Samsung Omnia 7 technical spec wise has a 4 inch Super AMOLED screen. The screen is in a WVGA format. Powering the Omnia 7 is a Snapdragon processor. Other features include a 5 megapixel camera that is capable of capturing video in HD at 720p.
Launch date is October 21, so basically a little over a week to wait for the new OS device. From what we understand, Microsoft [MSFT] developers between themselves have managed to create over 2000 apps ready for launch day.
Expect details to arrive on the Three, Orange and T-Mobile websites soon.
