Sprint [S] announced today that it has launched its 4G network for customers based in New York City, Hartford, New Haven, New Brunswick, Trenton and Tampa.
The new 4G services allow users in those areas (with the correct and compatible phones), to download data at up to ten times the speed of a 3G connection.
Devices such as the Samsung Epic 4G and the HTC EVO 4G can be used on the network. For those without a 4G compatible phone, there is an option of purchasing a mobile broadband device that allows several users to connect and share the fast connection speed.
Full details of the roll-out can be found over on the Sprint website.
