Those who have a T-Mobile G2 will be getting an update pushed out OTA to them starting today. T-Mobile is activating Wi-Fi calling on the G2.
The updates will be pushed out over several days from today (November 3) to November 8.
What the T-Mobile G2 will be able to do with this new feature is make voice calls and send text messages over a WiFi connection.
Tethering is also included in this update although the letter below says that T-Mobile doesn’t offer a tethering plan although the strange thing here is that T-Mobile in the US did just announce a tethering plan recently. Perhaps this letter was created before the last one? We assume that you’ll also have tethering available if you pay for that option.
