If you are baffled by the choice of GPS navigation systems available to you and you are looking for something that is easy to use, looks good and is not bulky, then the newly announced TomTom Ease may be for you. The TomTom Ease features a sleek light weight design and integrated EasyPort mount – making the device the most compact TomTom device available yet. The TomTom Ease, and the attached mount, can easily fit into a pocket, purse or small glove compartment.
Only a basic specification has been released so far but you can expect:
*a 3.5-inch touchscreen
*2GB memory and incldes TeleAtlas maps
*Text to speech feature
*Map Share technology – allowing you to make your own map changes and benefit from thousands of free map corrections made by TomTom to users every day.
*IQ Routes
*unit weight: 6.1 oz (including mount)
*unit dimensions: (HxWxD) 3.4 x 3.6 x 1.2 (including mount)
TomTom have yet to release a price for the Ease, however they have confirmed it will be between $100-$120 range – which with the advanced features of IQ routes, text to speech and Mapshare, this device is going to definitely provide quality for a good price. It is expected to hit the shelves in the US any time now….no word yet on anywhere outside the US….and will be available to buy in either black or white.
