Verizon [VZ] has launched new data plans with prices starting at $15/month.
Two main options will be available for data plans. These particular prices are for smartphone owners. The first is the $15/month plan that comes with just 150MB of data each month. The other option is $29.99 and is for unlimited data. When compared to AT&T [T] we see that the lower end offers 50MB more for the same $15/month price, but the higher end is restricted to 2GB for $25/month with no unlimited option.
For tablet owners, the prices are $20, $35 and $50 with 1GB, 3GB and 5GB respectively.
MiFi or FiveSpot owners will be charged $50 for 5GB and $80 for 10GB. Full details of the plans can be found at Engadget where a list of pricing was created. As October 28th has now past, these plans are now in effect as expected.
