Verizon [VZ] is launching a new phone on to it’s network called the Salute. The Salute is a ZTE handset that is a basic feature phone that comes at a low price.
Technical specs show that it has a 2.4 inch screen and a 1.3 megapixel camera. The handset can go online although we are not sure if the browser works well or not.
For connectivity it has Bluetooth although there is no mention of wireless.
Price wise the Salute costs $19.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. This pricing requires you sign up for a contract.
