The WeTab has finally started shipping. The Tablet device is an Atom based MeeGo slate and is available over in Germany with a price tag of 449 for the 16GB model and 669 for the 32GB model which also comes with GPS built in along with 3G/UMTS for connectivity.
The unboxing of course doesn’t go in to too much detail as its literally just an unboxing. It will be another day or two before we get to see what the WeTab is all about and if it will provide any competition to the Galaxy Tab and iPad.
The technical specs on the tablet show that it has an 11.6 inch screen that is capacitive touch. The Atom CPU is clocked at 1.6GHz. It has 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.
For connectivity it has Wireless 802.11/b/g/n along with Bluetooth 2.1. As this particular model is the 16GB model, it lacks the GPS and 3G connectivity of the 32GB model. A 1.3 megapixel webcam is included as well as a couple of USB 2.0 ports.
Overall it does look quite good although we want to see how it performs before passing any judgement. Check out the video below…

Don’t know if it’ll be any good, but I like the name. It makes me think of LOST.
