LIke and Dislike Stamps Launched

Jailbreak Collective has created Like & Dislike Stamps. These were built in collaboration with the company who first introduced the Like Stamp several months ago.

The earlier version had a wooden handle as well as requirements for an ink pad. These new version are all-in-one type stamps that have an ink reserve built in. Each time you lift the unit off the page the stamp automatically gets inked up for the next stamp to be placed. [Read more…]

Social Artworks Launches

Social Artworks is a service available for Facebook users that lets you print a collage of profile pictures of all your friends. As each person on Facebook has a different variety of friends, no two pictures will ever be exactly the same making Social Artworks all unique.

There’s a number of options available when buying a collage from Social Artworks which includes a small poster that measures 16 x 10 inches, on to medium at 24 x 16 inches and then on to large which is printed on a sheet measuring 36 x 24 inches. [Read more…]

Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook is Time Magazines Person of the Year

The Facebook Founder, Mark Zuckerberg, has been named the Time Magazine person of the year. The reason for this was because he created a new system of exchanging information which in turn, changes the way we live out lives.

The award is for most influential. Others in the running were Assange of wikileaks, as well as Lady Gaga and Steve Jobs. [Read more…]

Google Voice App Supports iPad and iPod touch

Those with an Apple iOS device such as the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, now have access to the Google Voice app. Prior to this launch, the Google Voice app was only available for the iPhone.

The app is compatible with the iPad and iPod but all features are not available such as the ability to make voice calls as described below…

While you can’t use your iPod or iPad as a phone, you can use it to initiate Google Voice calls with your phones. We call this feature Click2Call. Simply click any ‘Call’ button in the Google Voice app on your iPod or iPad and then select which of your phones you want to ring. Google Voice will call your phone and then connect your call.

Apple Could Sell over 4 Million MacBooks This Quarter

Estimations from the NPD Group indicate that Apple [AAPL] could sell over 4 million MacBooks this quarter. The expected total should fall somewhere in the region of 4.1 to 4.3 million by the end of December.

The new MacBook Air is expected to contribute a good chunk towards those numbers although the exact share isn’t known at the moment. [Read more…]

Advent Vega Tablet Has Flash 10.1 Removed

Advent announced yesterday that Adobe Flash 10.1 running on the Advent Vega tablet has not passed Adobe’s certification. What this means is that all Advent Vega’s sold from now on will have Flash 10.1 removed.

A version of the Adobe 10.1 download for the Vega is expected to be made available early in 2011, we assume when Advent iron out the bugs with Adobe. [Read more…]

Three Unlimited Data Plans Roll Out

Three in the UK has announced that they are scrapping data limits on the Three One Plan. The service is described by Three as being a truly unlimited data plan that has no hidden fair usage limits. Instead, you just use what you want from what we understand.

The One Plan has a price tag of £25/month and with that you get 2000 minutes, 5000 texts as well and up till now, 1GB of data of which the limit has been taken away. [Read more…]

Swiftkey Android Keyboard HD Released

TouchType has upgraded its Android keyboard app and has now given it HD graphics. The new HD layout allows it to function better on larger screen devices such as those with 4 inch and above screens and specifically, the Samsung Galaxy Tab.

As well as bringing higher resolutions, the keyboard app also brings several new languages to Android that allow users to get suggestions now in Brazilian Portuguese, Czech, Danish, Norwegian and Polish. [Read more…]

Nokia N8 and Android Get Turn-by-Turn GPS With Sygic

Sygic Mobile Maps is now available for the Nokia N8 smartphone. The Mobile Maps brings turn-by-turn navigation to the N8.

Nexus S Smartphone Sent to Space

Engineers along with a number of students have attached Nexus S smartphones to balloons and lifted the smartphones in to space.

The team uses seven Styrofoam beer coolers with a side cut out and replaced with plastic. A Nexus S smartphone was attached to the plastic side with the camera facing out to film what was happening. [Read more…]

Google Voice Search Can Now Learn Your Voice

Google [GOOG] is rolling out a new service that allows the company to learn your voice and how you speak. The reason for doing this is that voice to text services are occasionally a bit off. You say one thing and the conversion says something completely different in the transcript. By learning your voice, Google can see patterns in how you speak and how you pronounce certain words. Gmail Adds Gmail Delegation – Let Others Access Your Email

Google [GOOG] has rolled out email delegation to Gmail users. Previously, the service had only been made available to Google Apps email users.

What the email delegation service does is lets you have someone else be able to log in to your email account. This could be handy for those who run both private and business email accounts which would allow them to use both accounts at the same time. Other uses could include letting an assistant at work access your email so they could manage email for you. [Read more…]
