Raspberry Pi Hits More Delays
When the Raspberry Pi launched last week the sellers of the device quickly saw stocks depleting as up to 700 people per minute were trying to make orders. Only 10,000 of them were available at launch.
We now hear that the next batch being made has seen some delays due to the manufacturer putting the wrong type of Ethernet port on the device. Instead of using jacks with integrated magnets, they used magnet-less ones. This will require the factory to unsolder and resolder the correct part on.
“All the stock of jacks we believed we had in place and ready to turn into the ethernet ports on your Raspberry Pis turn out not to be the correct part, so we’re having to start again and move through the negotiating/ordering/delivery cycle as fast as we can,”

Apple Announces The new iPad
After many months of speculation, Apple has finally unveiled The new iPad. The device is now just called iPad rather than iPad 3, iPad HD or iPad 2S as some had speculated. The reason for this could be to fall in line with how people view the iPod nano, iPod touch, Apple TV etc… each has a generation, but essentially they are not referred to as the Apple TV 3 as an example. We suspect that the next generation iPhone will simply be called iPhone or The new iPhone as it will be listed on the Apple website later on this year.
Back to the new iPad. The key features of this model are the Retina display, 5 megapixel camera with new optics, A5X processor and 4G connectivity to name a few things.
iPad 3 Release Date Expected to be March 16
We’ll find out for sure later on today, but rumours are hinting that the iPad 3 will be going on sale on March 16 (next Friday). The length between announcing the iPad 3 (which is later today) and when it will go on sale about match the iPad 2 launch last year. What isn’t clear at the moment is what countries it will launch in. Typically the iPad launches in the US and is followed a few weeks later with several other countries. Apple might be working on a more unified launch this year.

Although the screenshot below is taken from the demo video, there is a footnote towards the end saying “Images not representative of gameplay” so keep that in mind while the renderings blow your mind.
