If you managed to place a pre-order for the Samsung Galaxy S III at the Westfield Stratford City shopping centre in London then you will have an opportunity to pick up the device a day early at 6pm on May 29th. As well as Samsungs own store allowing devices to be collected from 6pm onwards, they have also allowed other retailers to allow pre-orders to be collected at 7pm the same day.

HTC Desire C Available for Pre-Order in the UK
The HTC Desire C is a budget Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich device that will be launching in the UK as early as next week. Clove has now announced that it will be getting stock on May 24th.
The price of the new budget smartphone will be £189.99 including VAT which is for an unlocked model.
iPad 4G renamed to iPad WiFi + Cellular in Some Countries
Apple has changed the name of the 4G version of the iPad to iPad WiFi + Cellular. The ‘Cellular’ has been added and replaced the 4G. Nothing has actually changed in the iPad and this is merely to keep a number of countries happy who were complaining that they were buying a 4G device in a country where 4G wasn’t available… ie, they couldn’t get the full benefit of it.
7-Inch iPad Rumoured for October 2012 Launch with a $250 Price Tag
I’m not too convinced with this just yet, but a rumour is going around now indicating that a 7 (or so) inch iPad will be launching in October with a price tag in the region of $200 to $250. The tablet will be aggressively priced which will allow it to compete with the likes of the Amazon Kindle Fire.
ASUS Eee Pad Slider Update to Ice Cream Sandwich Now Available
Those of you with a US version of the ASUS Eee Pad Slider will now be able to update the firmware to Ice Cream Sandwich (Android version 4). ASUS sent out an official tweet yesterday saying that a new version with build number v9.2.1.21 was now available for download.
iOS 5.1 On All Devices Jailbroken
pod2g has managed to jailbreak a 3rd gen iPad running iOS 5.1. The jailbreak is still rough around the edges and isn’t ready for launch, but from what we understand, it will be capable of jaialbreaking any iOS 5.1 device which includes the iPhone 4S.
J&W M001 Fanless Cedar Trail Nettop Coming Soon
A new device called the M001 Nettop has been announced by J&W. The device runs an Intel Cedar Trail Atom processor with which the company offers three options. These are the D2550, N2800 and the N2600 dual-core versions. Up to 4GB of RAM is supported via a single slot that takes a DDR3 module.
Amazon Kindle Colour eReader Rumoured for This Year
Rumours are starting up again about Amazon releasing a new colour Kindle this year. The new Kindle device will likely have a colour eInk screen that will also have a capacitive touch panel over it. Note that this is a rumour and Digitimes who reported this also reported in February that it would arrive in March.
Pocket for iOS Updated to Version 4.1 – Coming to Android
A few weeks ago the popular Read It Later app was renamed to Pocket. The company behind it has now released a new update for iOS bringing it up to version 4.1. Several new features include a page flipping mode which allows you to flip forwards or backwards through pages. Also, new themes have been added to make reading a little easier such as Sepia and a dark theme.
Google+ for iPhone Updated
Google has released an update for the Google+ app on iOS devices. The new version brings a new look to the iPhone making a better UI and larger profile pictures. The app is now easier and more enjoyable to use when compared to the previous versions.
Apple Launches New Version of Safari for Mac
As well as releasing the new Mac OS X 10.7.4 update yesterday, Apple also released a new version of Safari for the Mac.
Android Version of Google Maps Updated
Google Maps for Android has received another update. This time the version number is raised to 6.7 and with it, a number of new features have been added. New features include indoor walking directions as well as integration with Google Offers.
