Acer will be launching the Iconia Tab A100 in August. The details were confirmed in an email sent to Acer retail partners recently. The email also confirmed that the tablet would be priced at $300.
The Acer Iconia Tab A100 is powered by a Tegra 2 chip. It has a 7 inch screen and runs the Google Android Honeycomb operating system. The original launch date was actually April, but due to problems with getting Honeycomb fully working on the A100, it was delayed until August. We assume that Acer has ironed out all the bugs.
Expect to see more details about the tablet, ie… the exact release date and confirmed pricing, be made available in the next week or so.
