A report today indicates that Amazon has increased orders for the Amazon Kindle Fire. The company is believed to have made an order for an additional five million units to be delivered by the end of this year.
The reason for the extra orders will be of course for the strong amount of pre-orders that Amazon has seen thus far with the new tablet device.
Amazon already raised its order volume once in the middle of the third quarter, up from 3.5 million units originally to four million units.
Several companies will benefit from Amazon making more short-term orders which will include Wintek, Chunghwa Picture Tubes and LG Display to name a few.
Amazon is thought to have sold about quarter of a million Kindle Fires within the first 5 days that it was made available for pre-order. At the rate pre-orders are coming in, it is also expected that the new Amazon tablet will be second in terms of popularity with the iPad still claiming the number one spot.
