Recently Amazon [AMZN] pushed out the 2.5 update for the Kindle to a number of users for testing purposes. Based feedback from the select few, developers at Amazon are now making changes to the code in preparation for launch.
This has pushed the update back by a few weeks although Amazon do say it is still going ahead. Amazon say that the update will be pushed out to more users which could mean it’s a second round of testing before the final version launches.
No official release date has been provided yet, but it’s good to see the company being open with Kindle users and letting them know exactly what’s happening and what is to be expected. A list of upcoming enhancements can be seen below.
