The Amazon Kindle Touch had a problem when it was launched. The problem was that it is just a little slower than wanted. Amazon has finally responded by making a new update available which fixes the problem. The update is 5.0.3 and it is available now.
The notes mention the update is just for general software improvements although after a bit of testing, it reveals that both page turns and navigation elements are now running a bit more snappily.
Amazon has the update available in two ways. The first way means you can just wait till a notification arrives on your device. The second option is that you do a manual update now.
In the words of Marco… “…this update makes the formerly frustrating Kindle Touch into a decent product.”
