It appears that Huawei has delayed the launch of the MediaPad tablet. Initially it was going to be made available in Europe before the end of 2011 although it seems that the launch might not happen until 2012.
The Huawei MediaPad was first announced in June this year which means moving the launch date to 2012 brings quite a delay for it.
When it launches it will have a 7 inch IPS touchscreen and will run Android 3.2 although we hope, perhaps expect, that Huawei will pre-install Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on the tablet. It also will have a 1.3 megapixel camera on the front as well as a 5 megapixel camera on the back. WiFi and HSPA is built in and it has support for 1080p video.
When it launches it is expected to cost £330 in the UK which includes taxes.
