Apple has finally announced that the white iPhone 4 is going on sale. The launch comes 9 months after the original date and we’ll see it, as of tomorrow, being sold in 28 countries around the world.
“The white iPhone 4 has finally arrived and it’s beautiful,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “We appreciate everyone who has waited patiently while we’ve worked to get every detail right.”
We’ll probably never learn what was holding the phone back from launching 9 months ago, but as quoted above, Apple says that they wanted to get every detail right.
The white version will be on sale tomorrow online at Apple, in Apple stores and at select authorized resellers. The US pricing sees the phone being sold for $199 and $299 for the 16GB and 32GB models.
Will you be getting one? or are you waiting for the iPhone 5 to launch later this year. Rumours are hinting that the iPhone 5 will be launched in September rather than June and we suspect the 9 month delay for the white iPhone is one of the reasons why Apple might be moving the next gen launch.
