The ASUS Eee T101MT has been unveiled and when launched, will come supplied with an Intel Atom N450 processor (AKA – a Pine Trail chip). By using the latest Intel Atom N450 chip it can achieve longer battery life and run a tad quicker too than previous models.
The operating system running on this tablet netbook will either be Windows 7 Starter or Windows 7 Home Premium all depending on which version you want to buy.
The screen on the ASUS T101MT measures 10.1 inches and is backlit by LED. As it’s a tablet device, the screen is also touch based by using resistive touch. The screen has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.
For storage you get the option of either 1GB or 2GB of DDR2 RAM with hard drive storage being at 160GB or 320GB depending on which model you choose. Each of the models also comes with the usual ASUS WebStorage allowing you to upload up to 500GB of data on to ASUS’ servers.
The T101MT tablet has a 0.3 megapixel camera built in that sits next to a mix allowing for video calls to be made. Three USB ports are included along with a memory card reader, Ethernet and audio jacks. For connectivity the ASUS tablet has wi-fi and Bluetooth.
Although it does run an Intel Atom N450 CPU, the battery life isn’t the 10 hours+ we have been seeing from other netbooks and tablets running the same Pine Trail CPU’s, but it does rate at 6.5 hours which although not the greatest, it isn’t too bad either.
The ASUS T101MT is expected to launch in Europe soon with a price that is currently unknown. Via: Blogeee
The Eee T101MT is already on sale at qbitonline. It is priced at about US$580. The only drawback is that it is only available in Chinese, but at least it has worldwide warranty.
