The UI will be using various 3D effects and will be based around the OpenGL engine. It will use heavy acceleration to make it smooth.
“The UI is totally unique and calls for a very small but crucial change in the Application Architecture to use the UI to the fullest of the extent. [The] UI is largely inspired from real world metaphors like magazines, wire-frames, newsletters. Even the color you will find will remind you of paper” Rohan Shravan, Notion Ink

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is nearing launch. Over in the US, a webpage on the T-Mobile site has been uploaded to show some details about the new tablet device.
Unfortunately, T-Mobile do not list the full details which everyone wants to know… ie, the price. We have seen leaks up to this point showing it to have a subsidized price tag of about $200 to $300 (perhaps even $400) but nothing actually set in stone. [Read more…]

A good number of iPad and iPhone cases are available. One of the ones we have been looking out for is the Moleskine iPad case. This particular case uses the regular Moleskine style covers and has rounded corners and a strong elastic band to hold it closed.
The Moleskine iPad case (and iPhone model) has a built in notepad that allows you to write paper notes whilst on the move if needed.
The features and style of both Covers are those of a classic Moleskine notebook: sleek rounded corners, strong elastic band, and the legendary smooth black cover. Inside, a lighter suede lining protects the electronic device against impact and scratches, alongside a Volant notebook with plain pages.

Custom MacBook Tablet Conversion – $50
This MacBook Tablet mod cost around $50 to build. Getting it working required just a touchscreen to be purchased which from what Gizmodo report, it costs $50. Other than that it’s just a matter of soldering bits together (carefully).
The new touchscreen added to the device is basically sunk in to the lid of the laptop. This essentially means that a lot of hacking and cutting up the MacBook needed to be done, but as can be seen, the results aren’t too bad at all. [Read more…]
T-Mobile myTouch Appears on T-Mobile Site
The T-Mobile myTouch was just mentioned here in the last hour. We now see that a page on the T-Mobile.com website has been put up that provides a few more details about the device as well as indicating its closer than we thought to launch day.
The HSPA+ connection allows the device to download data at up to 14.4 Mbps. This, of course, assumes you are in the best spot for network connectivity to reach maximum.
