Samsung Galaxy S II Gets the Android 4.0 Update

Samsung Galaxy S II users are now beginning to get the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update. The update has begun rolling out in a few countries in Europe which includes Poland, Hungary as well as Sweden. Samsung is running the update cycle in stages starting with the three countries just mentioned and after that, it will spread further across Europe.

New iPad Unboxed Early – Video

Although the iPad has yet to be release, a website in Vietnam has managed to get hold of a fully boxed retail version and has opened it up to see what is included in the box. To be honest, there’s absolutely no surprises at all about what you get with the new iPad as it all looks practically the same as the iPad 2, but either way, I’m sure there will be some who get excited about the video below.

PlayStation Vita Can get AngryBirds Space – If Sony Want It

Rovio has commented more on what Angry Birds Space will be available on. At launch (22 March) it will be made available on Mac, PC, iOS and Android. After that it will arrive on the Nintendo 3DS. Rovio is also interested on making a version available on the PlayStation Vita although this may or may not happen.

Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy Mini 2 soon. The device has now been made available for pre-order in the UK. The only version currently available for pre-order is the SIM free option which has a price tag of £179.95.

Windows 8 Tablet from Nokia Coming Q4 This Year

Rumours are hinting that Nokia could be launching a Windows 8 based tablet in quarter 4 of this year. The new tablet is believed to have a 10 inch screen and run a dual-core Qualcomm ARM processor. The chip inside is expected to be the Snapdragon S4 Krait.

Apple to Close iWork Service on July 31 2012

Apple has announced that iWork.com will be closing on July 31 2012. When that date passes it will be no longer possible to log in and use the service. Any documents still in there will be gone.

Apple Changes Delivery Dates for Some new iPad Orders

The new iPad is expected to be delivered this Friday in several countries to those who pre-ordered in time. We are starting to hear some info that indicates some of the UK orders might be shipping a little later though with some readers of Macrumors getting new dates of March 20 instead of March 16 in their original email.

iPad Pre-Orders Now Have 2 – 3 Weeks Estimated Shipping Times (UK)

In the UK, Apple has sold out of the first batch of pre-orders of the new iPad. The shipping estimate is now set at 2 – 3 weeks on all models in the UK.

For those in the US, there’s still some stock available for delivery on launch day with most options showing March 16 delivery although a few of the AT&T models are showing March 19 delivery dates which indicates that plenty of people are pre-ordering.

Raspberry Pi Hits More Delays

When the Raspberry Pi launched last week the sellers of the device quickly saw stocks depleting as up to 700 people per minute were trying to make orders. Only 10,000 of them were available at launch.

We now hear that the next batch being made has seen some delays due to the manufacturer putting the wrong type of Ethernet port on the device. Instead of using jacks with integrated magnets, they used magnet-less ones. This will require the factory to unsolder and resolder the correct part on.

“All the stock of jacks we believed we had in place and ready to turn into the ethernet ports on your Raspberry Pis turn out not to be the correct part, so we’re having to start again and move through the negotiating/ordering/delivery cycle as fast as we can,”

More Angry Birds Space Details Confirmed

Rovio has confirmed more details about Angry Birds Space that is due to launch on March 22. A couple of weeks back we heard that the new game was coming soon, but the details we got were a little scarce in that two videos showed no gameplay but did show that the game was set in space.
