A company named Photo Violation Technologies have created a parking meter that calls you when you are about to run out of time. As an added bonus you also have the option of topping up via your mobile phone or the internet to allow yourself more time should you be running late. If you decided you still do not want to pay then the option is also available to pay the fine at the meter. I know which I would prefer to do.
LED lights have been around a while now. They can replace a number of lights around the house. The next to receive LED treatment is the fluorescent tube. EverLED have created a replacement for the tube which allows you to plug it in and not many any changes to the light fitting. Each tube is 4 feet long and they have 5 different colour temperatures. Life span of these tubes is around 10 years and they give a 20% energy reduction to the regular fluorescent tubes you normally use.
LEGO has been around for ages and probably ranks as one of the most used toys ever. I had stacks of the stuff which was pretty much all Technics type Lego as well as a few other things. We recently wrote about the LEGO PS2 memory card holder and now we show you the Lego ring and cufflinks. They each can be made to order with custom colour preferences. The ring has a Swarovski crystal in it too.
GPS receivers tend to be about half the size of a mobile phone if they are standalone devices. This new miniGPS is just 39 x 33 x 20 mm and is able to attach to your keychain. miniGPS also is Bluetooth allowing you to connect without wires to your Pocket PC, mobile phone or any other Bluetooth compatible device. Inside the miniGPS you will find a SiRF Star III GPS chip which is capable of 20 satellite channels allowing for a very accurate position anywhere on the globe.
This inflatable roof rack is one of those excellent ideas which you are glad someone thought of. It is named the HandiRack and is set to cost around $100. The roof rack as mentioned earlier is inflatable which prevents you scratching or damaging the roof of your car while trying to fit it. Installation is easy as you just put them on your roof and fasten it to the car with straps which are thin enough to fit between the doors. Once inflated they can carry up to 175 pounds of weight.
The Swimming cap toiletry bag can store a ton of things in it due to its stretchy nature. Just be careful not to throw too much in it though as it could loose shape eventually. It basically is what girls used to wear when they went swimming and what you see the pros wear to streamline themselves. The difference here is that it has a zip around it to make it in to a bag also.
Apparently when you work on the computer, it isnt as relaxing as you think. The heart beat mouse intends to tackle the problem of not looking after your health. It has a sensor on the right button and I believe one inside which measures your heart beat while you are working away. If your heart rate is not ideal then it will tell you to take a break. It appears that the sensor on the right button is used for measuring light conditions to make sure it isnt too light or dark in the room while you are working. The heart beat sensor can measure from 30 – 200 BPM and the light sensor can measure 50 – 700 lumens. The software on the PC allows you to configure it so you can email your Dr your statistics so that he can demand you come see him if you are not too healthy.
The 312 key keyboard above is a musical instrument. It has 312 keys, but from looking at the keyboard being used it seems like you press one and 2, 3 or 4 above it also get pressed down. I am not sure if that qualifies it as a 312 key keyboard. I could be wrong though as maybe it does create a different sound depending on which key down the line is pressed.

For a fun and simple project you might want to try build a LEGO Playstation 2 Memory card holder. If you have more then 1 memory card then you can just customise the holder to suit your needs. With it being built of LEGO it takes just seconds to allow for another memory card to squeeze in.
To build the memory card holder you need to get the following LEGO bricks…
* One 8×8 base plate
* Two 1×8 bricks
* One 2×6 brick
* Four 2×8 plates
* At least 1 PS2 memory card
Portable Media Players (PMP) are becoming more popular as time goes on. Companies are trying to squeeze more features, more memory and better screens in to smaller packages. This concept True Wearable PMP is a portable media player that you wear on your wrist. The watch features GPS navigation, web browsing ability, gaming and also video chat. Also as can be expected from a PMP it needs to play audio and video which the creator says it will do a wide range of formats.
When you get a nice new product wrapped in bubble wrap I bet none of you can resist popping the bubbles until every one is burst. If you want to have bubble wrap with you always but dont want the big plastic sheet of it then you can pick up one of these bubble wrap toys from Bandai. It is a pocket sized fake bubble wrap key ring which you can use at any time to pop away. The feel and noise is supposed to be the same as the real thing.
To add to the popping the key ring has a device built in which makes a noise on every 100th pop. Noises such as a door chime, barking, breaking wind and others can be heard.
The Laser TV caught my attention for a couple of reasons. The first is that it looks absolutely amazing, and the second reason is that it has Laser in the name. CES is 6 months away and the Mitsubishi Laser TV will be on display at this event which will be held in Las Vegas.
After getting over how good this TV looks you have to wonder what an actual Laser TV is. A laser TV promises deep and bright picture on a thin and lightweight screen. Also, a Laser TV is cheaper to make then plasma screens. Hopefull this lesser expense will be passed to the consumer!
