Raytheon Revolutionary Cockpit for Unmanned Aircraft

Raytheon have created an unmanned aircraft cockpit. This cockpit is cabaple of handling multiple unmanned aircraft. Raytheon have also said that this will reduce potential accidents, improve training and decrease costs. They built it from 35 years of experience and broke down the operators tasks and objectives and built the system around those needs. The display is a wrap around type display as can be seen below, which gives a wider view for the pilot controling the aircraft.

The cockpit gives the user the option of standing or sitting and has flexibility to work with a variety of needed functions. The intuitive interface is what makes the UAS operators more effective in learning the UCS system.

Nintendo Wii Interface

IGN have given a nice video review of the Wii’s interface. The interface is simple and powers all the consoles functions such as memory card management, screen set up and resolution and messages. More is included such as the internet interface. Check out the video below and see how the Wii runs. One thing to note is the disc system can accept both Wii and Game Cube discs and it does not seem to have any issues with loading the smaller Game Cube discs.

TORQ N100 GPS PDA Phone

SlashGear got their hands on the TORQ N100 GPS PDA phone and did the good old unboxing ceremony. Their verdict is that it’s a nice device with lots of good things crammed inside. Features such as GPS, a 1.3 Mega pixel camera and it runs Windows Mobile 5. With it having Windows Mobile 5.0 you get the usual standard stuff such as the web browser, Media player and other MSN type software. The N100 does not have EDGE support but can connect to the internet via GPRS. Battery life is something else which caught my eye. Running as a PDA you can get around 10 – 15 hours, running as a phone you get around 4 and GPS goes lower then that. Still very good and useful for the traveler.

Rimax Mystic is Very Mystic

MP3 players are coming out all the time. I like some, dislike most because they usually do not add much to whats out now. Every now and again something extra is thrown in and makes you like it. The Rimax Mystic is one of these exceptions.

Rimax Mystic

So what makes the Rimax Mystic so Mystic? Well, it doubles up as a VoIP phone. Connect it to your PC via USB and you have in your hand a very nice looking VoIP phone that is compatible with skype. The Mystic is an ultra slim player that compliments your desk very nicely with it’s features that double it up as a phone.

All we need now is Bluetooth on it and then it can be used with out the old wires 😉 Still, a very promising product.

Prices in the UK range from 56 pounds to 90 for the 512Mb version or the 2Gb version.

Nokia N95 3D Graphics

The N95 is due out in the next couple of months and is 1 amazing phone. Features such as GPS and a 5 megapixel camera make this phone come out tops. What else grabbed my attention is the 3D graphics chip that is rumoured to be inside. The video clip below shows the 3D capabilities of the phone in the form of a built in game. The frame rate does look great. Check it out.

A Wii Bit of Action

Unbeatable.co.uk have reviewed the Nintendo Wii due out soon. The console is more powerful then a Game Cube but less powerful then the XBox360. The cool thing about it is the games. The motion sensing controller is what everyone wants to get their hands on and test.
