Flying Superman :)

The Flying Superman is out now. Look at it as a glider where you have some influence of how it flies. Still cool. It looks like you will need a big field and plenty of wind to keep this thing in the air. It’s available from Amazon.com.

Eyeball Robot

Another weird but kind of cool thing. This time it’s the Eyeball Robot. It is named the Cyber Cyclops and is degisned ugly enough to server as an ice-breaker between doctors and patients. This is what the creators of the robot say. Check out the video 🙂 It can also interact with voice recognition and face recognition. Kind of cool!

The i-Deck

This is another cool idea which integrates with your iPod. You connect your iPod to the old record player look a like and then the turntable part is actually a round LCD touch screen which displays the album art. Very fancy!

iPOD OLED Screen

There are currently rumours in the tech world about the next gen iPod using an OLED display. OLED do great when used indoors, but when there is too much light like outside then it’s a different stors. The problem with OLED screens is that the life span is not as good and who know’s if Apple are in favour of that? 😉

Meizu MiniPlayer M6

The Meizu MiniPlayer M6 which is very slim. It’s just 1cm thin and is even smaller then that of a CC at 79mm x 48.2mm x 10mm. It has a 2.4″ QVGA TNT screen. It is a photo viewer, movie player, has an FM receiver, acts as a voice recorder and the best part… it plays games. No doubt it will be something like solitare. Oh… It of course can play music and too 🙂 It has a capacity which allows it to play for about 20 hours and has 4Gb of storage. It will be around $219 when it ships in August.

InFocus “Work Big” IN42 Projector

The Work Big projector named the IN42 has been launched by InFocus. It has a 1024 x 768 resolution and a massive (well masive to me) 3500 lumens. This means that you can watch that thing with out sitting down in complete darkness. According to sources it has a very quiet fan which pumps out about 32 decibels. The projector has the ability to be networked via the RJ45 connector. It also has several inputs. We expect this device to sell for $3299. It should be availble in the next few months.

The lower model is acutally aimed at the pedestrian and has a smaller 2.8″ screen that can be used both vertical or horizontally. It is 100 euros cheaper. Do you want your own Satellite?

Well you can now 🙂 A company in Japan have made a personal satellite named MySat which is a 10 inch square covered in solar panels. It weighs just 44 poinds. However, it is $860000. That nice amount covers the cost of the launch, the satellite and monitoring/operational services.

What are it’s uses though? Basically it allows businesses and researchers to use it for their own specific needs. It will stay in orbit from 20 to 30 years.
