LED Plant Pots

Something different here then the usual MP3 players, toys and other crazy stuff we write about.

The LED plant pot… or “Roma-by-Night DecorLight” as it’s more commonly known as, is a remote controlled plant pot that glows a nice ambient colour in the garden to give a little light to the place. It has 20 different programs for how the colours work and is controlled by you with the remote control from the comfort of your garden chair. Impress the neighbours and have the best garden in the street with these 🙂

Toshiba 4GB SDHC

Wow is what I say to this one. 4GB in one small SD sized card. Who would have thought that this was possible 10 years ago? The 4GB SDHC from Toshiba. SDHD is a high capacity SD card which unfortunatly is not too compatible with current readers. Shame… but still worth shelling out for a new device hey?? 😀

It has a minimum write speed of 4MB/s and will eventually come with capacities of up to 32Gb.

Superman iPod Case

Ok, it had to be done. XTremeMac have launched the Superman version of it’s iPod case and I can see this one selling really well which is just in time for the new movie release. It covers the whole iPod and yet allows all the controls to still work. I wonder if it’s made of bullet proof lycra/spandex?? Who knows. Anyway, there are 2 versions out… the case for the 30Gb and case for the 60Gb iPods and it retails for just $30.

Sony NW-A1200 8GB

Sony have increased the capacity of their MP3 player to 8GB. The NW-A1200 takes just 2 hours to charge and runs for a nice 20 hours. It has the usual sleek looks with the hidden screen which shines through and looks as though it’s floating on the surface of the player “tech name of electroluminescent display”. 🙂

This new Media Box device from Pixelmagic will play anything you throw at it. Connect it up and away you go. However, you will need to provide the storage for the pixelmagic.

Cool IM Notification from Availabot

Another quality idea here… the Availabot is a USB device which is like one of them donkeys or zebras where you pushed underneath and it went all floppy and colapsed. This is much the same but in reverse with a twist. There is no need to touch this thing. It’s a block who lays as though he is dead. As soon as an IM buddy comes online he stands up 🙂 Funny and cool 🙂

Tivoli iYiYi

The Tivoli iYiYi (how do you say that?) is a new iPod docking station / speaker system which looks very slick. It should hit the shelves at $300. It has 2 x 3-inch mid range drivers built in also an FM/AM radio and alarm/digital clock. It has a remote control and an LCD display.

Wireless computer shrunk to smaller than a credit card

This is great news… and incredible that so much can be put in one small credit card sized device… ok I am sure it’s the usual “credit card sized… but about 10 credit cards thick” but either way… it’s cool.

The CM-X270L is just 4.4 x 6.6 CM and squashes in an Intel XScale Chip which runs windows CE or nix. It squashes 128Mb RAM, a sound card and a 802.11b wireless card. Oh, and it has half a gig of flash too. I also forgot to mention the 4 USB ports with wired networking 🙂
