Siri for iPhone 4S Gets Another Hands-On
We’ve seen a few demonstrations of Siri on the iPhone 4S. Both demonstrations we’ve seen (the official Apple video and live test at the Apple event) showed the system working well, but as these were demonstrations you can’t help but have a nagging feeling that things wont run as smooth in everyday usage.
Search Filters Added to iPad App Store
Some handy changes have been made to the Apple iPad App Store in the last 24 hours. Now when performing a search in the app store (on the iPad), there are several filtering options that are available.
What these options do is allow you to filter between the category, release date, customer rating, price and device (iPad or iPhone). If you think back to when the iPad first got iOS 4 the handy lock rotate button had its function changed to a mute switch. Since then, to lock the rotation you had to double tap the home button, swipe to the controls menu and then tap the orientation lock button. A number of people complained about this process and it appears in this case, Apple has decided to listen. [Read more…]

With estimated sales like this, Apple will have successfully introduced the first ever mainstream tablet, however, Apple are unlikely to enjoy the vast lead they enjoyed when they launched the iPhone as the tablet market has some major competition expected to be launched in the near future which will test the longevity of the iPad craze.
