Siri Co-founder Leaves Apple
The co-founder of Siri has left Apple [AAPL] from what we hear today. The departure from the company has been on the cards for a while and according to a report it seems that it was an amicable move.
Celebrating Steve Memorial Now Available Online
Apple held a memorial event last week on the Cupertino Apple campus. The event was for all Apple campus staff as well for all other staff in retail locations around the world. Apple stores shut down for a few hours so that staff could watch it.

Nintendo 3DS and Wii to get Hulu Plus – 3D Capture as Well for Handheld
Nintendo has made an announcement informing us that Hulu is headed to the Nintendo 3DS and Wii. Support for Hulu on these systems will be added by the end of this year.
Nintendo also mentions that the 3DS will also get an update that will allow it to capture up to 10 minutes of video in 3D.
Android Ice Cream Sandwich to get Stylus Support Built In
Details have been revealed today showing that Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) will have native Stylus input available. At the moment, any support for a stylus has been added by a 3rd party such as on the Samsung Galaxy Note pictured below.
Samsung Galaxy Note UK Release Date is the 1st November
We’ve already heard that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus release date in the UK is November 17. We now hear that the Samsung Galaxy Note is moving from the 17th November a little closer to the 1st November.
Apple Q4 Earnings Call – Revenue Short of Expectations
Apple held its Q4 earnings call yesterday to provide details of how the company has done for the last quarter of the fiscal year. Analysists had predicted revenue of $29.6 billion with the actual amount being $28.27 billion.

Samsung is very aware that any device they launch will be scrutinized by Apple to see if any patents have been violated. With this in mind, Samsung has designed the new Galaxy Nexus with the intention of avoiding all patent problems.
$8.5bn Purchase of Skype Completed
Microsoft [MSFT] has announced that it completed the $8.5bn purchase of Skype.

Canon to Launch new DSLR Tomorrow
Rumours are showing that Canon will be launching a new digital SLR camera tomorrow. What that camera will be is the main unknown at the moment. Canon Rumors is hinting that the camera could be new in the 1D series of DSLRs.
Siri Ported to the iPhone 4 – Doesn’t Quite Work Yet
A lot of iPhone 4 users want to get Siri but unfortunately Apple [AAPL] has decided against offering it and has instead made it iPhone 4S only. We don’t know the reason for this as it could be related to the iPhone 4 not quite having enough power or that it’s some other hardware tweak that we don’t know about. It could also be a sales thing so that the 4S has another slight edge against the older versions.
Anyway, a developer has managed to port the Siri interface on to the iPhone 4. The downside is that it doesn’t quite work yet as the interface isn’t talking with the Apple servers yet. Siri requires a connection to the servers at Apple so that your voice records can be stored and used to improve the service. It appears that Apple isn’t authenticating the use of Siri on the iPhone 4 and hence, not allowing it to function fully.
