The standard everyday credit card may soon be a thing of the past. For starters, ‘smart’ cards look and feel like the credit cards you may already have in your wallet but with the addition of a micro processor embedded within the card itself. This allows information to be stored on the card in much the same way as a magnetic strip (which will usually run along the back of the card). The difference here is that more than one set of information can be stored on a card at the same time thus also giving the user the ability to switch between them depending on which account is to be used to pay for something whether it be a credit card account, debit or savings account.
MOVing or KINECTing
With the advent of Sony’s Playstion Move and Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Kinect soon upon us, which will it be? Both have very different marketing strategies but both naturally want as many people to buy into these new little gadgets as possible. With Nintendo Wii being the dominant console over the last few years, with regards to its motion sensitive gameplay, can Move and Kinect really level the playing field or rise above it all with their all-new ground breaking technology soon approaching our living rooms? Halo: Reach, touchdown
With the arrival of Halo: Reach brings a huge smile to the faces of literally millions of fans, across 25 countries worldwide. Reach is a first-person shooter video game which was developed by Bungie and published by Microsoft Game Studios for the Xbox 360 console. Its more of a prequel as this is the 4th installment of the series but the setting is prior to that of Halo: Combat Evolved where, in the year 2552, the whole of humanity is locked in a war with the alien Covenant on the human colony of Reach weeks prior to the events of Halo: Combat Evolved. Players control Noble 6 who is a member of an elite supersoldier squad during the battle for the world of Reach as the Covenant begin their assault on the planet. [Read more…]
