Canon Digital Rebel XSi
Top of the list we have the classic Canon Digital Rebal XSi that has been a top seller for well over a year. It has a 12.2 megapixel sensor and this version comes with the kit (18-55mm f/3.5-5.6) IS zoom lens. With it being a Digital SLR it allows you to swap and change from a huge amount of lenses that you can buy depending on the type of photography you want to achieve. The Xsi Rebel has a large 3.0 inch LCD display. It uses the DIGIC III image processor to provide fast and accurate processing of the images. Also the DIGIC III allows for quick focus and a fast frame rate. Due to SLR cameras being capable of being opened to the elements, the Xsi has an integrated self cleaning system which vibrates the sensor to drop dust from it’s surface. This camera supports SD/SDHC memory cards which are not included (so make sure you add one if buying it).
The Canon EOS range of cameras like this one are full of features and take excellent shots. Well worth the money if your after an entry level DSLR.

Canon EOS Rebel T1i
The Canon EOS Rebel T1i is another, slightly higher spec, entry level Digital SLR camera. It is more advanced than the XSi listed above, but also has a slightly higher price tag to reflect that. The T1i has a 15.1 megapixel CMOS sensor and uses the more advanced DIGIC 4 image processor. This particular camera comes supplied with the Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS kit lens although this option can be removed if you wish allowing you to purchase your own lens. It has a 3.0 inch Clear View LCD screen and also features Live View allowing you to see on the screen what you are about to capture.
